100 Years of Sogetsu Ikebana in 100 Minutes - Ikebana workshop

Sogetsu ikebana is turning 100 next year, and we're marking it with a fun little workshop.

Our member Tatjana Felberg is Sogetsu Ikebana teacher and she will hold this workshop.

We'll kick off with tea or coffee and a presentation about ikebana in general and Sogetsu in particular: where it comes from, what makes it different from other schools, and why people are still doing it a hundred years later.

Then you'll get to try it yourself: we'll make the very first arrangement every Sogetsu student learns, so you'll actually leave knowing the basics.

You can borrow vases and kenzan from sensei Tatjana. Bring your own secateurs if you have them. You can take flowers home with you, so bring a bag for it.

At the end we'll all pitch in on one big joint arrangement together, using 100 flowers for the 100 years, one flower for every year.

No experience needed, just come as you are.

Date: 18th October 2026

Time: 13:00 - 15:00

Place: Private residence in the forest in Fetsund  (We’ll let you know the address after registration) You can take a train, then walk 6km from the station, the best is to drive. If you take a train, let us know. We'll pick you up at the station.

Price: 450kr, include materials, drink (tea or coffee)  and honorarium
