New Event
The Japan-Norway Society
with Trond to The Top of Two Continents
Wednesday March 28th at 18.45
Dear Member,
The Society is happy to announce that our honorary member, Trond Eilertsen, will once again share his adventures with us in connection with his attempt to climb the Seven Summits.
This time his adventure took him to the highest peaks of the 2 southern continents of Australasia and Antarctica. The Mt. Puncak Jaya, also known as “Carstensz Pyramid” in the northern part of tropical Papua New Guinea 4.884 m. high, and Mount Vinson, the 4.892 m summit in Antarctica.
From the tropical wilderness of Papua to the frozen Antarctic, the contrast of the environment between these 2 places could hardly have been greater, and the climb up each of these peaks, must have been fascinating. We look forward to hear Trond's experience.
Thanks to Wikborg & Rein, there is no fee for attending the meeting, and between these 2 trips we will have baguettes and mineral water.
Please notify us of your participation as early as possible, and not later than Friday March 23. You may bring a guest, but his fee will be NOK 200,-
The meeting starts at 18.45. Please do not be late, as someone will have to wait for you at the entrance. W & R office at – Kronprinsesse Märthas plass 1, is situated by City Hall, in front of the park on the west side, a few minutes walk from National Theatre station.
