We are extremely pleased to invite you to a lecture and showing of the Japanese book collection at the University Library (University of Oslo).

Head librarian Naomi Yabe Magnussen will give a short overview of the History of Japanese books until around 1900, and introduce the collection at the University Library focusing on the Late Edo period and Meiji period.

She will also show us some of the books in the collection, and introduce the digital material which is available to everyone.
