Izakaya will proudly host a release of Nøgne Ø’s limited edition of seasonal sake *“Hiyaoroshi” on Tuesday 13 October 2015 from 17:30.
Nøgne Ø is the first and the only sake brewery in Europe and this Yamahai Nama Genshu
(山廃生原酒) was hand brewed by Brock Bennett, Toji (Sake Brewer) of Nøgne Ø during the last brewing season. It has been matured over the summer and ready to be released as limited edition of Hiyaoroshi.
Please join us and savor the unpasteurized sake which can only be enjoyed by lucky few.
Toji will be on hand to talk about Hiyaorosi and other sake brewing topics.

* Hiyaoroshi is sake brewed in early spring, stored during the summer and released between September and November when the outside temperature and the temperature of sake is about the same. It is released without being pasteurized before bottling. The sake has deep matured aroma and complex flavor compared to freshly brewed sake in the spring. The release of Hiyaoroshi has become a seasonal sensation in Japan around this time of the year and we are happy that we can replicate this excitement in Norway!
